According to Fen Shui even where we accumulate junk corresponds to various parts of our lives that are not working.Fen Shui, the ancient oriental study of energy, is the art of placement for power and maximum beneficial flow through a place. The first rule is: allow a room or space to breathe easilyby eliminating piles of miscellaneous rubbish or non essentials. Honor the possibility that empty spaces hold. Place beautiful, comfortable and functional objects in pleasing arrangements that promote flow and allows you to shine in your home. Junk actually chokes up the life forces in a room. Early spring is time to de-clutter!!! It is time to release the past and clear out the old stagnant stuck energies of late winter. Sort out what the junk jungle is trying to tell you. It may have to get worse before it gets better. A healing crisis may be needed for the catharsis to clear the chaos. Throw away, give away, garage sale, re-cycle compost or save for future use. It could be time for a liver gall bladder flush or some colonics. Organize so you can find things easily. If you have not worn it in a year, perhaps it’s time to get rid of it! In the spirit of self inquiry ask yourself “What would happen if I let go?” Be curious about how things got to the point they are at. What did you choose to do instead of dealing with the accumulating mess? What motivates you to keep it clear and beautiful with buoyant, uplifting energy? Try having a party at least twice a year. Miss Garage Sale Queen and Mr. Zen may have a romantic chance together after all. If they can manage their stuff, they can manage lots of other things too. “Because there is no separation in energy, if we live with fear, negation, anger, contempt, jealousy and/or indifference toward life and toward our brothers and sisters on the planet - this is all we can expect to receive in return. Likewise, if we live with "hard" edges, uncomfortable or shabby furnishings, clutter, loud noise, odors, mess and other agitating and irritating elements on a daily basis, our lives and communication will eventually mirror the same.” suzeemiller@fengshui4re.com Any building can be divided into nine equal sections called baguas. If the space is not rectangular, simply make the bagua box large enough to fit the entire building inside it. In a nutshell: a central is entrance, that relates to your life journey, career and business success. The bagua, or section, just to the right as you enter, is about helpful people and to the immediate left is knowledge, wisdom, education and contemplation. The center of the space anchors the earth mother energies of health and well being. The middle of the back of the space is about the future, your fame and luck. Middle left is about community, family life, and ancestry. To the middle right is creativity, children and the feminine energy. The two rear corner baguas, are extremely important. The far right corner is that of marriage, relationships, and lovers. Far left rear corner is about wealth, prosperity and empowerment, its’ color is royal purple. Moving water, mirrors, wind chimes, fresh flowers, ball crystals are some examples of things used to “cure” flaws of a space. Problematic issues are extra long hallways, huge windows that seem to suck everything out of the room or dark corners that seem to invite stuck energies, etc. Here are a few quick tips for improving your home, room or building. At the entrance, add a fountain. In the wisdom area, add a spiritual statue or books. For the relationship area; add pink flowers and a pair of “love birds”. For the wealth area; purple amethyst crystals and hide gold coins in a teapot. In the family area, display photos of beloved relatives. For the future lucky area; add joyful pictures with red frames, or a vision board you have created. Avoid blinking lights and cover mirrors in a bedroom at night, because they can keep people awake. Place lovely pictures of cool water and blooming nature inside the cupboards to symbolically antidote the excess heat forces of a microwave. Use curtains, close drains and bathroom doors to prevent energy leakages. Be creative with making a ritual for releasing that which no longer serves you. Write on a leaf and send it off to decompose downstream. Utilizing the energy of the full moon will empower your ritual. Empty to create a receptive nurturing womb to bring about something new in you this spring! Riding the high tide of rushing spring energy from the equinox, to the solstice, can give you a tremendous natural and effortless boost to fostering any project you want to initiate now.
