Love that lasts has kindness and trust at its heart. The need to be right surrenders to the desire to be kind. Life cycles swing through high and low tides and we learn to ride the challenging times through when we can learn life’s lessons. Our lives mirror our inner thoughts and feelings; subtle and strong. Love is nurtured by respect , appreciation and warm attention on the daily details. Being vulnerable enough to ask for what you want and need is a sign of strength that can be rewarded. Understanding what we expect, naming what we assume and are getting clear on what we are committed to, is crucial for long term happiness. Relationships show us our strengths and weaknesses and help us find out who we really are. The drive for meaningful Connection drives us all towards each other. Love has been the answer to so many questions since time began, it still is. Growth involves digging deep, biting a spiteful tongue and finding compassion during rough times. Stand in your partner’s shoes. In the end it’s how well we loved that must be reckoned with, nothing else matters that much. Remember as it says in the Course In Miracles, “ You are never angry for the reason you think.” Be playful, open to tenderness, take leaps of faith and above all find quiet times in stillness to listen to your own heart and the guidance of your intuition. In a word love is kindness. As James Taylor said; Shower the ones you love in love. Show them the way that you feel.”
