Seasonal Star Cycles
Pisces the Fishes
Pisces needs to find practical ways to create value February 2008
Elizabeth Ault MA, CPCC The season of Pisces, the Fishes, flows from February 20th, to the Spring Equinox on March 20th. Last month we explored how the Aquarian looks into the question of who lives in the higher realms. Pisces goes one step further with one foot in another more heavenly world and one foot here on Earth. Smooth fish glide together riding currents in silent schools, through liquid dimensions. The other worldly Pisces needs to find practical ways to create value for their idealized impressions that puts them tactfully in touch with the evolving cycles of mankind. The symbol for Pisces the Fishes is two crescent Moons, back to back connected by a belt, representing a bridge between two worlds. Or, they may be represented as two fish attempting to swim in opposite directions, that are tied together. This image reveals the intense level of potential inner turmoil inside the Piscean.
Their imaginative inspirations need to find ways to be grounded into an earthly manifestation. Their natural psychic abilities and inner guidance make useful tools that help in navigating invisible, or intangible arenas. In the flow of life the Fishes have issues with boundaries. They are esoteric, sensitive, empathetic and need to learn where they end and others begin. Dreamy Pisceans tend to give themselves away. Self love is an anchor to having a healthy identity. They have vast and encompassing visions and they can feel subtle currents of energy at a distance. The artistic Fish are good listeners and can easily access their inner lives. Even though they may be cooler to the heat of passions and may tend toward androgyny, they can be faithful and home- loving.
Neptune, King of the sea, rules the Pisces. In his world you can find yourself confused, stuck in mud, drifting in ethereal mist, enthralled in a mystical space or even in the domain of crystal clear inner guidance and Divine Love. The surface of watery emotions may be still and deep, reflecting images clearly, or turbulent blusters of waves, splashing hither and yonder. Neptune also rules over addictions, drugs, alcohol and other self-medications used to escape this reality. Neptunian influences may incline one to avoid confrontation and responsibility or it may simply be too painful for them to face the harsh realities of life. Pisceans have access to supremely beautiful fantasy realms. They can deceive themselves easily. They also have deep insight and compassion for the suffering of others.
Jesus Christ was a herald to the dawning of the age of Pisces, born 215 years before the shift into the Piscean epoch. He is often depicted by the symbol of the fish and his disciples were mostly fisherman. Jesus Christ brought greater compassion and love to mankind and willingly sought the company of women, children and the underdog. Cosmic Christianity, as espoused by Willie Sucher, recognizes that Christ shifted our world out of the “We Consciousness”. Jesus can be seen as a turning point in time. He brought the gifts of the inner Kingship or the “I Am”. As empowered individuals we began to make choices, based on own inner knowing. Prior to Christ, our free will was at a minimum and our fated destiny at a maximum.
The process of incarnation during this current age of Pisces; (AD 215-2375,) has brought body centered physical awareness down from the top of the head (ruled by Aries) through the body all the way to the feet,(ruled by Pisces). This drive towards density, physical incarnation and materialism is very strong now. Past debts of our deeds based on cause and effect (karma), can be redeemed at a more rapid rate if we choose our path wisely. We can shift our social position through successful application of intention, skills and opportunities. Free will brings freedom of choice but also the choice to waste lives. Excessive self-indulgence at the expense of our world is the product of self-centered consciousness. The birth of the individual “I Am” consciousness can erode into egomania, and selfishness. Fascination with power, control of resources, and wealth have now grown over-ripe in our male dominated culture.
The re-entry of the Divine Feminine with her nurturing, healing ways, has brought about revelations of our connectedness as humans and consequently the abolition of much overt slavery, more freedom for women and children, and more conscious awareness of our Earth as a living being, with her own identity. The coming age of Aquarius carries the impulse to spiritualize matter, think through the heart, and access our higher self counterpart once again, this time from the perspective of an individual. This is a shift to a new paradigm of brotherly and sisterly love, with a willingness to sacrifice for the good of all, while retaining our unique identities.
Pisces is the last constellation in the zodiacal cycle of the year. At this time we cross over the threshold of the death of winter and into the coming rebirth of Spring. This is the natural time in the cycle to be able to jump off this wheel of earthly fortune, and onto a new octave of experience; to cross over and bridge the gap to the next paradigm. It now seems possible to begin to do things we have never done before. Think about what you want to do.
Although we may feel whipped by winter winds, our hearts sing as we see the new crocuses and daffodils poke their heads up into the desolate landscape of late winter. There is life after death! Our patience has been rewarded with longer days. Hope for the fulfillment of our dreams is real. The plant kingdom begins to bring that welcome young green color back into the landscapes and it warms our soul. Remembrance and anticipation of Spring begins bubbling within us, just like the gurgling creeks draining off snow melt. The roots of life everywhere begin to tingle and we dream of emergence.
