Seasonal Star Cycles

Pluto, God of the Underworld and the Galactic Center
November 2007

Elizabeth Ault MA, CPCC

Pluto is the presiding ruler of Scorpio’s season which flows from October 24th, to November 21st, 2007. Shadows lengthen and eerie winds howl, as leaves lay composting on the frosty forest floor. The holy day for remembering and sending prayers to the ancestors and those who have died before us is celebrated at this time. The Christians tagged on to this All Hallow’s Eve with all Saints Day on November 1. The mood of Mother Earth is pulling the life force of all the things back towards the depths of their center. We are driven inside to stay warm when the weather attempts to chill our bones. Pluto rules the subconscious mind, which is 95% of our thinking. This includes the thought programming and beliefs that we received from our family and environment before we were seven years old. It is the part of our thinking that unconsciously controls most of our thinking and actions.

When we transform your dad’s belief of "Son you must work hard for your money." to " My money works hard for me." you have undergone a core level Plutonian transformation.

Pluto sweeps away the old worn out ways of thinking and doing things as well as structures and institutions that have lost connection with their original purpose. Pluto, like Shiva, brings the destruction and death of those things that no longer serve their intended purpose.

Pluto rules the most powerful initiations of life: birth, death, conception, profound core level awakening’s and revelations, sexuality, and transformations of all kinds. This God of the underworld rules all things hidden in darkness, undercurrents. unseen forces and personal charisma. The highest attributes of Pluto are insightful intuition, united with will forces for the purposes of transformation. In Astrosophy, a modern wing of astrology, Pluto rules the Holy Spirit, the primal heart of evolution. In its highest form Pluto is seen as merciful. Pluto brings us face to face with death and judgment, which inspires motivation to hear the higher calling of spirit. The range of Pluto’s influence is from the heights of the celestial, to the depths of the dark hole at the bottom of the abyss our soul. Pluto clears out and destroys that which must go to make way for that which is longing to be born. Pluto rules white and black magic, because power can fall into the hands of anyone clever enough to figure out it’s laws. Pluto rules the occult. It has the perception to understand that which is hidden, and the impulses of ascending evolution.

Pluto is now known as a slow moving dwarf planet that has generational influence. It is in a sign for approximately 21.27 years. To journey through all 12 signs takes approximately 254 years. It is also moving further and further away from Earth. Pluto was discovered in 1930, a time of existentialism, a time of unraveling atomic and nuclear power, and a time of recognition of the need and responsibility to heal the physical Earth herself from the devastations of mining, garbage and other abuses.

Pluto was Plutus originally, considered by the Romans as the giver of gold, silver, and other gifts of the subterranean Earth. This is the origin of how Pluto became connected with the underworld. Later Pluto also became aligned to the invisible spiritual worlds and death.

The most potent and significant astrological event of the year 2007 is the rare exact conjunction of Pluto with the Galactic Center! The ancient Egyptians called this point at the center of the galaxy the Eye of Isis. All of physical creation was believed to have poured through this Divinely Feminine Portal located at 26'57" Sagittarius in modern tropical astrological terms. This is the exact point that the centaur/archer, depicted in the constellation Sagittarius, is aiming at with his bow and arrow. If his arrow is a bull’s-eye it will pierce the Galactic center. The center of the galaxy can be imagined as the throbbing heart of the universe. These pulsation’s radiate and align the rhythms and orbits of all celestial bodies and life force within our galaxy, the Milky Way. It sets the pace for the beat of your heart. "It was only in the late 1960's, that astronomers finally honed in on the GC (Galactic Center) with radio and infrared instruments." http://www.horary.com/hhcrl/galact.html

According to Hector Carreon, in the La Voz de Aztlan articles; "The Mayans are believed to have studied the alignment of the Galactic Center in their cosmology. They knew its location and had a glyph for it called "Hunab Ku." Hunab Ku was, to the Mayas, the supreme God and ultimate Creator. It represented the gateway to other Galaxies beyond our Sun as well as all of the Consciousness that has ever existed in this Galaxy. Hunab Ku, according to the Mayans, is also the Consciousness which organizes all matter, from a "whirling disk", into stars, planets and solar systems. Hunab Ku is the "Mother Womb" which is constantly giving birth to new stars... They also believed that the "Creator" directs everything that happens in our Galaxy from its center through the emanation of periodic "Consciousness Energy" bursts."

When Pluto conjuncts this point, it is such an awesome and rare cosmic event, with potentially vast, powerfully deep and wildly impactful implications. One area of interest relates to time itself. "Physicists review time as being linear... flows in a straight line. Time can slow down as per Albert Einstein, but it always flows in one direction. In contrast, the Mayas believed essentially that Time flows in a circle. There is a beginning and an end to things, but there is a renewal at the end of the Time cycle. There is a "periodicity" to all manifested phenomena... The Mayans also believed that Time originates out of the Hunab Ku and is controlled by it."

Pluto directly connects to the Galactic Center, only once every ~248 years. For most of 2006 and 2007 Pluto has been within 1˚ of this point, at 26"57" degrees of Sagittarius. It’s effect builds over years to the pinnacle of it’s dispensation / transmission. It peaks exactly on Oct 27,2007 in the tropical zodiac. It has however, been permeating our awareness for several years. Sagittarius rules wisdom, expansion, higher thinking and the speedy benevolent resolution of challenges unless it is thwarted by indulgences and excessive behaviors. Pluto will empower this urge for transformation to your core. Jupiter follows and conjuncts the Galactic Center on December 9, 2007 and conjuncts Pluto on December10 at 28 degrees of Sagittarius. So Jupiter auspiciously arrives to fertilize, quicken and disseminate the energies stirred up by Pluto. The Moon dances swiftly by these 2 planets adding an emotional, devotional element as well on Dec 10, 2007.

I imagine this is a time when the veils between realities are very thin and the voices of the angels could be heard if one was still enough. Powerful forces to clear out the old stagnant energies are calibrating to higher octaves. Perhaps the galactic field of frequencies are resonating to new heights. These may leave old dysfunctional rotting baggage in it’s wake. What needs to go to the compost pile in your life?

This is the time when transformation permeates the core of Galactic existence. How do you choose to ride this tidal wave of change? What direction do you want your life to take? What new skills do you need to learn? Whose support do you want? What sacrifices are you willing to make to achieve your goals and by when do you want to achieve them?

As we journey into the colder months, contemplation, assessments and new plans emerge. Evaluate your harvest from the last year and look for how to upgrade your results. Create quiet times of solitude and stillness to allow the subtle voices of spirit to guide you. Be bold and dare to dream huge dreams. Be daring and take action to make them real. Never underestimate the power of baby steps.
